Course Description
This blended learning course will take you through the blended learning model, iNACOL standards (Online Teaching and Online Courses) , the reaching of learners and the how to set up your blended learning classroom.
Learner Objectives
Through weeks 1-4, the learner will be able to:
-explain and demonstrate the various forms of Blended Learning with at least 70% accuracy according to grading standards
-understand the basics of assessment, differentiation and accommodation with 70% accuracy according to grading standards
-Learner will be able to distinguish, describe and then apply Blended Learning environments from schools using blended learning with at least 70% accuracy according to grading standards
-Learner will be able to explain and demonstrate the use of accommodation, assessment, and differentiation with at least 70% accuracy according to grading standards
Through weeks 5-7, the learner will be able to:
-Design a syllabus for a blended learning course that meets the need of the classroom
-Design a unit based lesson
-Design a blended learning course that meets the standards for online learning

Course Format
This blended learning course will be presented in the following elements:
1) Weekly videos from the instructor about course direction
2) Downloadable transcripts of videos
3) Downloadable readings or websites
4) Announcement(s) from the instructor
5) Discussion forums to collaborate with colleagues
6) Weekly quizzes
7) Weekly video assessments(length 1 min or less) by you the learner to express what you have learned and how you apply to the classroom.

Course Credit
In order to receive to your blended learning certification, you must complete this course with a 70% or above. The course will be broken down in the following way:
Projects- 30% of the grade
Quizzes- 10% of the grade
Discussion Forums-20% of the grade. 1 post and 2 replies for each week.
Video Assessment- 20% of the grade. 1 each week.
Peer Assessments- 20% of the grade- 2 for each project.

Academic Honesty
Each course attendee will be held to the strictest of academic honesty. All cheating, plagiarism or the like will or may result in:
1) Warning
2) Meeting with instructor
3) No Pass on module or assignment
4) Expulsed from course

All teachers will act in accordance to the Acceptable user policy of Pearland ISD. AUP
Each situation will be viewed on a case by case basis. Non-compliance may result in a warning, meeting with instructor or being exited from the course,
